AM Curriculum times and Beez Sweetz Org activity time slots can alternate based on class times and days.
Some time slots have 5-15 min “free space” for run over times, clean up, transition time etc.
The schedule can vary and change daily or weekly. Campers and their guardians will be notified in advance of schedule changes, as well as calendar event and transportation changes by letter/flyer, email, and via social media networks and website.
Camper’s arrival & dismissal times may affect their schedule but this sample schedule is what most or all camper’s experience on a daily basis.
Field trips can also affect the schedule. I will try to keep schedule and calendars updated and as accurate as possible but we often could change, rearrange, or cancel scheduled events due to weather, group size, transportation needs, etc. So please stay connected with us and check anything your campers bring home with them…they could be important reminders. Always feel free to call or message me with ANY questions or concerns.
SAMPLE MENUS
Listed below are the typical foods served at each. They are usually in menu style ordering, where the camper(s) can just simply pick from a few options daily. If we know exactly what is being served ea. particular day, it will be listed on calendar. ( Ex. Wednesday= trip to pool & pizza at Fuel OR Friday= camp cookout & hotdogs, chicken, etc will be served).
I included a section in the big enrollment packet about favorite and least favorite foods. Please complete that section along with ANY food allergies notes!!! It is very important if we haven’t already spoke about it. I like for the children to have the things they like. They are more likely to eat it and be full versus picking over or not eating things they don’t like AT ALL.
BREAKFAST:   assorted cereals, milk, assorted juice, pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, tater tots, apple slices, orange slices, grapes
*we will also have DIY bagels, omelets, waffles AND make a face pancakes on select days*
LUNCH:  pizza (cheese/pepperoni) {various vendors from Lil Caesars, Pizza Hut, Fuel, Why Not Pizza and Tony’s}, hotdogs ( we don’t like to have often bc of choking hazard…but we often cut up for younger kids and use for DIY cooking Pigs-n-A-Blanket), spaghetti (with&without meat), chicken nuggets, chicken strips, assorted sandwiches, assorted subs, mac n cheese, BBQ chicken, tacos, salad, assorted fruits{apple slices, orange slices, grapes}, assorted veggies{green beans, corn on the cob, broccoli, french fries, etc
AM & PM SNACKS: fruit snacks, goldfish, assorted crackers, cheese, assorted cookies, pretzels, chips(assorted), juice boxes/pouches, bottled water, and Gatorade
I will try to get a calendar & more detailed menu style list for parents/ guardians, but for the most part, this is what will be served. If you want to send in addtl. personal snacks for your child/children that is fine, just let me know. And let them know that their snacks or meals can only be eaten at snack or mealtime AND IN SNACK OR MEALTIME AREAS.
We try to make meal time fun and exciting. One of the things we do often is “menu style ordering”, where a camper is given a menu of meal options. They can choose their own entrée, sides, desserts, and drinks just as they would at a restaurant outing with their family.
We have everything prepared and ready to go but it is a fun way to explore options, make our own choices, and ensure we are getting just what we want to eat at mealtimes.
Sample menus will be provided week to week AND PLEASE complete the section in enrollment packet about your child’s favorite food, snacks, and eating habits. It helps ensure we have foods, snacks, and drinks here that everyone can enjoy.
Helpers…
There is nothing like some helping hands when you have so many people to look out for. As we explore community workers, careers, and important jobs…we will be “employing” our own campers for special positions at Bittersweetz Retreat CARE!
Mailmen& Mailwomen: to assist with retrieving mail from the box & giving out mail and invites to our own campers, staff, and parent/guardians.
Secretaries/Receptionist: to assist with paperwork, answering phone, taking messages, making copies, etc
Cooks/Kitchen Staff: to help prepare and serve meals and drinks to others, learn about sanitation & kitchen safety and even cook.
Veterinarians: assist with the care of camp pets..(coming soon) from goldfish to bunnies.
Gardeners: to assist with gardening and observing our plants and flowers grow
Photographers & Bloggers: to assist me in taking photos and making memories of all our campers throughout the day, posting on social media, and making fun picture crafts.
There will be so many “jobs” and ways to help out and opportunities for everyone to take part… from line leaders..role takers… to party planners.. to camp presidents! There is an important job for everyone here at BitterSweetz.
DEVICE FREE FACILITY???
I do not mind if you send your child to BitterSweetz Retreat CARE with a cell phone, tablet, or any other device. As long as your camper(s) KNOWS it can NOT be used whenever they want to use it. It has to be used at “free time” and  “down time”.  If it becomes a distraction for them, I will take it, and return it to parent/guardian at end of day AND ask that you do not send it back.
I and no one in BitterSweetz is responsible for lost, damaged, or misused/misplaced devices. I would not recommend your child taking these things outside of home base to field trips..or outings.
Your camper can use our Wi-Fi when it is available but will not be guaranteed internet service, passwords, or to use the device to connect to our Bluetooth devices. We use Bluetooth for almost everything and cannot have you connected to our speakers, TVs, etc.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in NEVER being able to bring the device back, connect to wifi, or use ANY of our devices.
BIG ENROLLMENT PACKET will be available today around 5:00 pm
Please fill out and read thoroughly. I tried to cover all bases and include as much info as I could about BitterSweetz Retreat CARE, our goals, and missions. If you or anyone you know is planning on being a part of our camp past this week…Please read and FILL OUT this enrollment packet..even if you have completed the registration form. Because this one has more detail information for you and for myself.

NEW WEEK…..NEW RATES $$$…Updated Info…Schedules…and Menus

All payments are due at the start of the week (Monday) unless given another payment time.
All payments must be in no later than the following Tues morning to avoid “late fee” or termination of CARE.
**Please communicate with me if you cannot make your payments on the dates required. In some cases, we can work out a different payment plan or date. I will not know your situation or need if you do not communicate it with me. Please do not assume I know about any financial difficulties you may be having or that your camper(s) will not be able to attend because of them. You just have to tell me and I’m sure something can be worked out.

The June 12- 19th rates are over (the post said 1st week of camp only)
Please fill out the registration form (FULLY) with all names, date, times, etc to receive most accurate tuition rate. It will not be a dramatic increase in rates but I cannot keep the rates how they were the first week and still turn any kind of profit.  Sorry.  They were introduction rates…for the first week of camp and now they are OVER.

New rates are as follows:
**all rates are subject to change and are estimated. Sibling discounts, transportation times & locations, special requests, etc…. could change these rates**
$35/week/child 4 yrs -13yrs
$50/week/child 3 yrs & under

Still very low & very affordable!!! Always a BitterSweetz Retreat CARE guarantee!!!

*Sibling discounts can apply and transportation fees will be added.

*Transportation fees can vary from an addtl. $5/week all the way to $25/week depending on the dates, times, and location of the pickup or drop off.

If you are planning to use Transpo services, PLEASE BE ON TIME!
*Transportation is a privilege and can be subject to change or cancellation due to payment, tardiness, and behavior of camper(s). So in other words, your child can be denied transportation if it’s not paid for, taken advantage of, or if your child has constant behavioral issues in vans. We have to keep driving as safe as possible. We also have to be considerate of other parent/guardian’s time and my own. So, tardiness is the number one way to lose your spot in transportation.

*Sibling discounts will be applied to and for anyone enrolling more than one child. It usually works as follows:
– If you pay full price for one child the other(s) will be charged a discounted rate. Or in some cases for large groups, all children will be charged the same discounted rate. Rates could vary and depend upon child/children’s ages, transportation, needs and other factors.

**PLEASE FILL OUT REGISTRATION FORM FOR THE MOST ACCURATE TUITION RATE OR QUOTE!!!!**

Transportation fee is applied only ONCE for all children being picked up or dropped off at that location. ( If your campers are being picked up/dropped at same location..you will only pay ONE Transpo fee).
You will have a set pick up pick up time & location AND a set drop off time and location. IF it does not work for you, let me know RIGHT AWAY so I can change it.

I have to do a lot of the driving on my own and to ensure I’m here as much as possible for the parents who drop off and pick up themselves….Transportation pick up times can be extremely early AND drop off times can be extremely late. (EX. Pick ups could be as early as 5am-6:45am AND Drop offs could begin as late as 6:15-7:30pm)
**It helps tremendously if you could pick up and drop off your own child/children. But I will try and accommodate any and everyone who needs Transpo services.**

*I’m asking that no child be dropped off after 9:30 am or before 5:30am (unless previously arranged)
Our day begins and breakfast is served by 9am. We are not in “set-location” all the time and could be in route to a field trip or to the park and miss your arrival. So please call in if you are going to be late.
*Each day breakfast, am snack, lunch, pm snack, water & drinks for meals will be served.
Treats, candies and party snacks will be served occasionally and/ given as rewards for good behavior. (please let me know if you do not want your child to have candy/particular kinds of candy)
I will have a schedule and calendar posted online, as well as a menu. I like for parents and guardians to know what we are doing, where we are going and even what we are eating throughout the week. As changes may occur, I will notify you right away via email, phone, or social site(Facebook). I just ask that ALL PARENTS/ GUARDIANS PROVIDE A GOOD CONTACT NUMBER# for themselves AND AN EMERGENCY CONTACT NAME &NUMBER before leaving camper(s). I also ask that you give permission to have your child/children’s photos taken throughout camp ( you know I love pictures and posting!!) I use them for websites, crafts, advertising, and gifts for parents… but I won’t and cannot without your permission.

I’m not trying to get rich…I’m just trying to start my business and grow my brand. I want to give as many kids as possible the BitterSweetz Retreat experience this summer. Also hopefully get some insight, advice, and ideas from parents, guardians, and OF COURSE the campers to make it bigger and better for the years to come.
We are not a school, YMCA, or KinderCare but I try to make everything as legit as possible & operate as if I was as big ..or as known as one of those centers.

**YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE GREAT TO START..but YOU HAVE TO START TO BE GREAT**

So no more waiting for the perfect summer..the perfect location…the perfect amount of money…etc…etc… WE START NOW!

We actually learn, study, explore, create and craft in all subjects. We spend most of our day with outdoor activity whether it is at my home, Reedy Creek Park, Reedy Creek Pool, Albemarle Rd Rec. on Lawyers Rd, Spraygrounds at Veteran’s Park and Nevin Park, Imaginon Library, Hickory Grove & Sugar Creek Libraries. We visit these places 2 to 3 times each every week and some of them daily.
This week we are also visiting bowling alley in Concord, NC and SkyZone of Pineville, NC. A waiver has to be signed by parent or guardian to jump at SkyZone. This can be done online or I will be sending home a printout…that you can just return with your camper on or before the field trip date. I will send out reminders and have extra print outs because THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Your camper(s) cannot attend without it. SkyZone rule***

The plan is to stay up and running ALL summer long, hopefully, begin our non-profit organization, start up our programs, and be open all year!!! BUT I can’t without YOUR HELP! Childcare is definitely a word of mouth business & cannot be successful without the approval of parents/guardians and of course THE CHILDREN!!! So bring your child/children over& help us spread the word so we can grow.
**PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL BE INTERESTED or KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED** Pass the info along. I can be reached at 844-544-0ABC (0222), via Facebook (BitterSweetz Retreat{profile} OR BitterSweetz Retreat CARE {page}, Instagram { beez_sweetz} , and our website http://www.bittersweetzretreat.wordpress.com
I have 5 children of my own and hopefully will be growing in the weeks to come with campers, things can get busy...  so leave a message with your name &contact info… AND I will get back to you that day or ASAP the following day.

We are going Non-Profit

We have decided to make the center a non-profit organization…This will not make tuition free… However this will provide us with more sponsorships, donations, and opportunity to expand activities. It will help keep tuition rates low, affordable & provided with a lot more CARE. We will be able to offer more classes & hire instructors. We will be able to easily purchase curriculum supplies, uniforms, instruments etc to meet our needs. We may be qualified for a bigger center and assistance with more transportation &fuel costs. As a non-profit, we can also offer employment opportunities to parents &guardians as well as workshops & training for our staff. In order to become a non-profit organization, we will have to file proper paperwork & pay fees totaling approx $1200. Please help us reach this fundraising goal so we can start ASAP. ALL donations will go directly into the funding of BitterSweetz Retreat CARE ‘s non-profit organization Beez Sweetz Org. Home of STINGERS.
STINGERS will offer FREE organized sports/games/athletics, dance, cheer, gymnastics, chorus/ choir, theater arts&performance, engineering&electronics, music reading, instrument instruction, necessary life skills, mentoring, counseling, career building, job training ….. and more.
We will always inspire members to dream big, be confident, be positive, be respectful, be open-minded and as always…that Learning Can Be Sweet!
Please support!
As parents &guardians you will help run the organization, possibly be a member of the board… your support, input, &ideas are vital to the success of the center. PLEASE support us.
We hope to establish our status by March 2017. We then will begin applying for grants, sponsorships, and any other resources we need to have center completed &open for Summer 2017.
We will continue our fundraising events… building our brand..& recruiting new campers & members in the months to come.
